Your money is your business. Not ours to sell.
This is the short, honest version of our privacy promise. The full legal detail lives in our Privacy Policy.
We never sell, rent, or trade your financial data — to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else. Your transactions stay yours.
BudgetIQ is funded by subscriptions, not advertising. There are no product-interest or location-based advert feeds in the app, and we will not add them.
Your budgets and transactions are locked to your account. Only you — and nobody on our team by default — can read them.
You can delete your account and all of your financial data at any time, from inside the app. Nothing is kept to monetise later.
How does BudgetIQ make money then?
Members pay a small subscription — R167.99 a year or R20 a month. Because you pay, you are the customer, not the product. That is the whole business model.
Do you look at my transactions?
No one on our team reads your data by default. Security tools run automatically to keep the service working and safe, and that is all.
What about the AI features?
When BudgetIQ helps sort imported statements, that processing is used to organise your money — never to build profiles, never to target you, and never to train public AI models.
Can this promise change later?
No. We are funded by subscriptions and will always stay ad-free. If our practices ever change, we will update this page and the full Privacy Policy and tell you first.
